Converting Garden to Paved Driveway

I live in a terraced 2 bed house in Cabra. I would like to pave over my small front garden (red brick type paving), and create a driveway - this would also involve knocking down the small front wall, and levelling out the whole garden, as there are steps.

Could someone please advise on the rough cost of this project, and possible recommend someone/a company?

Thanks.

You will probably require planning permission and, if permission is granted, you will have to pay the local authority to have the pavement and kerb "dished" (lowered and rebuilt to allow your car(s) to drive over it).

A cowboy contractor may try to convince you that throwing a bit of quick-setting concrete in the drainage channel is all that's required - escort them off the premises fast.

the ball park figure for your project would be in the region of 1500 to 3500 depending on the labour involved but if you are going ahead with this you still require the local authority to dish the kerb otherwise you would be held liable for any accidents there if any.
