i worked for 40 years and then retired , in that 40 years i have 1894 Stamps , i have not paid any PRSI since i retired 4 years ago and will be drawing down my private pension at the end of this year , where i understand i will be making a class S contribution.

by my recking i will have an average of 48 (47.95) stamps per year , so should i be entitled to the top rate and more importantly will the 4 year gap of not making and Stamp contribution have any impact on my Contributary pension?

I came across this site recently while trying to help a relative forecast their pension entitlements. Fill in your details and see how you fair out.

Average 48 alone no longer gets you full COAP.
This is because of the phasing out of the averaging system.
Will your class S contributions bring you up to a total of 2080 before your 66th birthday?

yes @Robovac rider , i reckon my class S contributions will bring me up to a total of 2190 before my 66th birthday , does it matter about the 4 year gap before paying the class S contributions?
