Looking at taking over the family house from my mother as she is living in a home but she still of sound mind. I am only child. I think it would be a good time to take on the house before the budget.
Can I draw up a contract of sale now with solicitor before the budget but do the actual transfer paper work in jan with land reg and tax office. But use this weeks contract signing date as the valuation date for transfer date and hence avail of current tax favourable breaks and thresholds.
