bought some shares , one off purchase , hold the certs .
is the contract note the share cert .
do i return the bottom part to the company now to get the certs .
or hold this contract note until i want to sell.
sure one of you know and might help out please , im just not sure what to do now .
 
contract note is NOT the certificate. it is simply the record/receipt of the order to buy.

If you asked for a CERTIFICATE you should get one in a few weeks. if you do not receive it, then contact your broker.

If the company in which you bought the share is not in IRL or UK, there might be a longer delay and some companies do not issue cetificates at all, holding al lrecords electronically.

Also, your broker may have bought them and holds them in the nominee account, to your credit. This means that you never appear on the shareholders register and all communications come through your broker.
 
Hi,
Unusual nowadays to receive a certificate. If you are due a cert you need to make sure it is sent to you as this is your record of ownership.

THe contract note is just like a receipt.....
