Connection of gas hobs?

Hi,

I think I'm gonna need someone to connect up my new countertop hobs to the gas pipes. I assume it's not a D.I.Y. job and I should get someone certified to do it?

On that note if anyone has recommendations for someone inexpensive in the Dublin area to do it...

You will need a gas plumber who is recongnised by an Bord Gais. Steer clear of Gaswise as it took them 5 visits before they finally got our hob installed correctly. They sent 3 guys on the last visit...I'd hate to see them fitting a central heating system. They charged €100ish which wasn't too bad

If you phone Bord Gais they should have a list of approved installers in your area.
 
Hi there,

I just got mine connected last week. We got someone from Board Gais alright. They have a few people on their list that have a 10 day waiting list but ours came out the next day. 100 Euro ....
