Firstly I apologise if i've posted this in the wrong section.

Hi all I went for an interview recently - and before I attended the interview they asked me to do a personality test online -whilst at the interview they did not discuss the results of the personality test even though I asked what the results were.

Two weeks after the interview I heard nothing from the company so emailed them and asked them for both the outcome of the interview and a copy of my personality test results.

This morning I got a return email saying I was unsuccessful in my application and "We do not give out results of the personality test."

Surely they cannot refuse me the right for a copy of the personality test as its held on computer - not sure which legislation Freedom of information or data protection.

Can anyone advise how I go about getting a copy of the test

Edit: after you have done the above 'we' would be grateful if you would post a reply to the outcome. There are some interesting case studies on the site of companies which did not respond to people’s initial request and got the fingers rapped when the commissioner got involved.

Tell them unless they give you the information you will be complaining to the Data Protection Commissioner.

Thanks for the reply I've just sent of a request for the information will let you know how I get on. Thanks for the advice
