Company maternity pay in new job

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could advise on my status re the following.

I am due to complete my 6 month probationary period in a new role at the end of March 2008.

Before I accepted the job, I found out I was pregnant, and advised my new employer of same before they sent a contract out to me – didn’t seem to have any issue with my situation – and so far, have been extremely understanding in terms of my antenatal leave etc. I am due to go on maternity leave almost exactly to the date my 6 month probationary period is up.

However, people who start here are normally on 12 month probationary contracts – I seem to be the only one on the 6 month one.

In addition, to date, I have not had any meetings on my own progress – but all informal reports on my work are good!

The companys policy for pregnant employees is as follows:

” Any female employee who works more than 8 hours per week and for at least 13 weeks for the company, or a female employee who is on a FT contract which has at least 26 weeks left to run, has the right to return to work, the right to paid and unpaid maternity leave etc. etc.”

Judging on the above – can anyone advise on my situation in terms of a) my probationary period ending as I go on leave and b) if I should be entitled to my salary on such leave?
