Has anybody been asked by their CWO to bring mail to them that is not for yourself. I 'm renting a house and was asked to do this thought it strange.

Generally, a letter addressed to yourself is required as proof that you live at your address... I have to say I never heard the likes that you are now required to bring mail from other's living in the house.... I would think that those people's mail is their property.... very odd indeed. I'd write to the Superintendent CWO who is over this CWO and ask that person to clarify in writing why you are being asked to furnish the HSE with other peoples mail, this mail is not your property, and for what purpose....

Perhaps it was mail for a previous tenant that the CWO wasn't able to stop before issue and is simply asking you to return it to the HSE?

Perhaps the CWO wishes to confirm the names on the tenancy agreement or the form signed by the landlord (he/she has to state who else is sharing the tenancy).

Before involving the SCWO, I'd ask the CWO what the information is needed for.
