Cold calls - does my opt out preference transfer if I change phone companies?

Have just arranged to switch home phone and broadband from Perlico to Vodaphone. I see from Brendan's sticky at the top of this forum requests to opt out of cold calls are made to the company to whom you pay your line rental.

My question: will the opt-out I registered with Perlico two years ago be carried over to Vodaphone or will I have to re-express my pref with each new company?
