closing HSBC PLUS ACCOUNT

hi

i need advise about closing an HSBC PLUS ACCOUNT, the problem is i owe 120 pounds even though i have ever used it, my question is if a don't clear this debt can it affect my credit rating? (eg can it effect my chance of getting a mortgage), and what will happen to this debt will it keep on going up?
