I'm looking to close down some old bank accounts as I've switched banks.When do I need to have the accounts closed by to aviod the government card tax?
i am with two different banks. both charge the levy to my accounts in january. i think you should contact the banks and ask them just to be sure. do it soon though as you could be doing business with a bank that charges in january and that is not far off now. if your bank charges you in april you'll have plenty of time to close them.
