Revolut Ireland no longer allow direct debits in GBP.

Just to clarify.

If you have a Revolut account you can still pay in sterling from that account.

But you can't set up a direct debit. Is that it?

I have been paying Class 3 and haven't received a letter. Should I also re-apply to keep paying? When I completed form CF83 I already ticked the box stating that I want to keep paying going forward but I'm not sure that's enough

There's no change for you in that case.

The online form for people wanting to continue to pay is confusing. The guidance states it's only for people who have hitherto been paying Class 2 (and must now move to Class 3), but on the form itself states it's for those who have been paying Class 2 0R 3.

tomdublin, you might be as well to send the for even if you are already paying Class 3. The form has two purposes. (1) applying to pay Class 3 if not already doing so and (2) to be "grandfathered" from the old 3 year entry rule to the new 10 year entry rule.​

Can anyone give me a steer on how long it typically takes HMRC to update your account (State Pension Summary and NI Record) after a payment has been made?

I sent them money in late June (revolut). I called them at the start of September, and they confirmed that they had the payment. They told me that it could take up to 4 weeks to be allocated.
I rang again this morning and they said that the money was allocated (they couldn't tell me when it was allocated), but it might take a few days to show up.

Based on what I've heard and from my own experience, it can vary a lot. Sometimes weeks, other times months. They always seem to get there in the end though. If I was you I'd give them another month before calling again. Based on my calls to them, my suspicion is that both the experience and competency of their case workers varies a lot. The international section may also not be their priority

I'm in the same position and that's what I think too.
I'm hoping to get a bill then for 2026-2027 but if none comes will pay the amount anyway.

You'll likely get a letter from them in next week or so confirming that you're set up for Class 3 payments
