Hello all, I am non-EU citizen working in Ireland on general skills work permit, I was wondering, is it possible to claim back any percentage of the taxes I paid (PAYE, PRSI, USC) if I leave the country and not come back to Ireland again.
I think it won't be possible for PAYE but wondering if it would be possible to get anything back for PRSI or USC.
Yes, this should be possible. Under the split year rule you should get a full years tax credits and rate bands (amount taxed at 20%) for the year in which you leave. Some USC may also be refunded. Take a look at this on the Revenue website and it may assist: https://www.revenue.ie/en/life-even...to-or-from-ireland/leaving-ireland/index.aspx
