Claiming med 1 for 2012

I completed and filed a tax return for 2012 a couple of weeks ago and put in a Med 1 claim. My partner has just found a raft of receipts for physiotherapy and orthotic insoles which we completely forgot to include in the Med 1 section of the online form. Total is €650. How do I claim for these now? Can I do it through ROS or should I ring Revenue?

Hi Emeralds.
As far as I remember, you go into PAYE online and change the medical expenses and request another balancing statement, the same as the first time.

@emeralds - if you filed on ROS you can reopen any of the last four years and revise them. So reopen 2012 and amend the claim.

Just be mindful that whatever you clam, the Revenue can and do select a number of these for review later.

as Husker above said what you are in effect doing is resubmitting your Med-1 figures. I assume you filed on ROS even if you are PAYE largely.

Thanks for replies. My husband is a proprietary director so we file a Form 11 every year using ROS. Is it the same procedure? Ie. re-open the submitted form?
Also we have all receipts/referral letters etc.. for all claims.

Yes -- and amend the amount to inlude the new receipts + the old ones
