Ciampino Airport - Rome

I would like to fly to this part of the world but not to visit Rome. I have been there a number of times. Are there any interesting places that I might head to direct from the airport using public transport, coastal or inland?

Assisi is a beautiful town and can be reached easily by train from Rome.
