Chinese Natural Slates

Does anyone have any experience with using natural slate sourced from China for roofing purposes?

From a cost point of view it appears to make sence however I am unsure about quality / longevity / uniformity of grading etc.
 
i have a chineese slate on my roof and they are fine i can send you a picture if you want paid 1.15 plus the vat for them. they are not as brittle as the brazilian slate and a lot cheaper than some spanish slates
 
Cill Dara - That would be great if you could send on a picture - BTW did you buy them in Ireland or import directly from China ?
