Checking luggage through to Ireland from US domestic flight

I'm flying home to Dublin from Atlanta via Boston. All tickets booked with Aer Lingus, but the carrier on the Atlanta to Boston leg is Jet Blue. Will I be able to check my bag through from the Boston to the Dublin flight? They are quite a few hours apart and I am hoping to nip into Boston for a few hours between flights, sans luggage.

this year we came from Cancun by new york them on to shannon and we could not check our bags we had to pick them up in new york and bring them to another terminal and drop at a bag drop.It was a pain to have to do this we were booked under the one airline.

They are partner airlines, so you should be fine.

Check the TSA wait times before leaving Logan, as you'll have to do full screening again on entry.
