Cheapest Place to Register a .ie Domain Name...?

Does anyone know of any cheap sites to register a .ie domain name?

From what I've seen it appears to be much more expensive to register a .ie compared to other domains such as .info or .co.uk

I wonder why .ie names are so much more expensive than all the other types...?
 
It can be a bit tricky to get a .ie domain, it's not like .com etc. where you pick an unused name and just register. I applied a few years ago for a friend who was setting up a business, and they refused to grant the domain name until the business was legally established.

The rules and document requirements have been simplified over the last couple of years.

buy a copy of PC Live, costs 2 euro and normally has a table of Hosting Co's near the back - you should be able to compare prices there
