Cheapest place to buy CFL bulbs

Re: Cheapest place to buy CFL

Woodies recently had a 3 for the price of 2 offer and the Homebase had something similar with a different manufacturer.

Re: Cheapest place to buy CFL

I got a 7-watt 4-pack recently in B&Q for just over €9.

7-watts really low, that must be quivalent to 40 watt in the old ones. Do they have any deals on 12 watt or more?

Hi guys,

I bought a load of CFLs in Tescos in Derry before Christmas, buy 1 get 1 free, 1 bulb costs GBP1.30p, this was for 40, 60 and 100Watt equivalent.

ALERT.

Homebase in Omagh was offering a phillips CFL bulb (60w eqivalent) for 99p. There was 2 for one offer at the time, so got 20 of them for £10.00.

The same ones were down here for much, much more.

I bought some in Wilkinsons in the UK, 2 for £1

Ok, I didnt just buy some, I bought LOADS...

I had hoped under the Greens the price of CFLs would have decreased dramatically. Instead they just slap a tax on the incandescent ones and then decide to ban them.

*Sigh

3 for £1 in sainsburys up north this weekend, but Woodies are also doing a very good deal at the moment!

Aldi in NI were selling them last week for 99p
Aldi in RoI were also selling them last week, but for €3.99:mad:
