Hi, I'd be grateful for advice. I have checked La brokers as previous poster was advised and was amazed that mortgage protection for me and partner is 10.90 / month. We pay 95.20 /monthly to eagle star and have an old policy which we pay 71.62 / monthly to BOI. We had mortgage initially with BOI and hence have an old policy of mortgage protection still going. just realised that we are still paying this even though we cleared the mortgage last yr. Our current mortgage balance is 76000 with 17 years to go - although we will clear this sooner. The eagle star policy is for 125, 000. Should we end two current policies and take out new one with LA brokers and look for new critical illness cover too. Partner and I have life assurance with jobs, we have children aged 3 and 6 and I think we kept the other policies in case something happened to us.
Is it more expensive to look for critical illness now we are aged 40?
