Cheaper rail travel for senior citizens?

Hi all,

i just wondered if Iarnod Eireann offer any special discounts for senior citizens? If they do, is it only applicable on certain days?

I thought anyone who was over 65/66 had free travel, but is this just restricted to buses, or does it cover trains aswell?

Yes, pensioners can use their free passes, but they must present them at the ticket office where they will be issued a ticket before boarding the train.
