Hello ,

I am finally getting around to redecorating my home.

My curtains (the kind you pull over) in the sitting room are rather large and the label says ''dry clean only.''
Any advice about some reliable dry cleaning service which won't destroy the rather expensive and difficult to replace curtains would be appreciated. Price is also a factor. It seems to be a more expensive job than most other items.
I live on the south side of Dublin therefore anywhere close to Dublin city centre or the Southside would be easiest for me.

I dont know about being cheap, because dry cleaning curtains is expensive. I use Jacksons Dry cleaning for all my dry cleaning and alterations and find them great. They were great doing alterations to huge heavy curtains I had and although it was expensive it was a great job. I use Naas or Lucan usually.

They have branches in Lucan, Leixlip, Sallins, Swords and Stillorgan.

I got to know them because they used to do our business park, pick up your clothes on Tuesday and drop it back on Thursday or Friday. Lovely genuine guy, started his business in a recession, great to see him do well.

Thanks MandaC :)

I'll check them out. While price is an issue, what also worries me is the scare stories I have heard about expensive items being damaged without any compensation at some fly by night places. I would have a hard time getting the money together for new curtains of a similar standard. The ones I have were pretty expensive already.
