Hi,
hope this is the right forum.

I work in the voluntary sector and we are organising a fundraising table quiz on Tuesday 22nd. Where is the best place to advertise the event? Is there a 'table quiz' club? Putting up posters locally is limited.

Any advice re where to advertise much appreciated.

Pub quizes are in our local newspaper every week. I think they print the details for free in the community section.

You could also try the local supermarket notice board, it's free.

Are you holding it in a pub or community hall? Then you could make up some posters and post them in the pub or hall.

You could also use Facebook.com if anyone on the organising committee are members. Word of mouth is often good to being people to these events. Get people sending emails to friends, maybe try and get some local company to sponsor a prize, see if your local free newspaper will do a small piece on your charity and mention your table quiz.
Best of luck with it

Yes, many local radio stations, especially rural ones, are very happy to advertise such fundraisers.

The amount of people who come along 'cold' to events like this is tiny. Use word of mouth. You need every member or existing supporter to bring along a table of people.
