Hi,

I am topping up my mortgage. I was quote a fee of €300+VAT by the solicitor, which I was happy with.

During consultations it emerged that registry fees might have to be paid in addition. I'm OK as long as they really are, whichI guess they are.

The invoice has arrive in and it is for:

Professional Fee €300
VAT €63
Total €363

Commr for Oaths €40
Vacate fee €50
Land Registry Fees €170
Law Searchers €120
Total €380

Total €743

Now if these fees are legit then fine, but I was expecting 300+Vat plus maybe €100 for registry fees, not €380

Does anyone know what these other fees are and if they seem legit?

I haven't had a problem with this solicitor before and all seems OK but it's just more than I was expecting.
