Owned house for 16 years, seconded to work abroad for 6 of those, upon returning to Ireland job location was moved so ended up selling PPR. Act states must live in house both before and after period of absences for those periods to be deemed periods of occupation but I didn't get to move back into house as job (all with same company) was relocated immediately from returning abroad. Should I claim PPR and do an expression of doubt or what are my chances?

Did you let the house and register with RTB?

How much is capital gain?

Were you a posted worker or actually still on payroll in Ireland?

Yes house was let, registered with RTB and rents returned.

Taxable portion of gain approx 3k.

Still on payroll in Ireland, working for the Irish government abroad.
