Hi,

I have lived outside of Ireland for 6 yrs so am non-resident and not domiciled (>3yrs).

I am looking to sell an irish property and wish to understand the CGT position.

From my reading of the revenue site CGT in this scenario is only payable on specific
classes of assets (land and buildings, minerals etc) but excludes property, is that correct?

All advice welcome

Property is a specified asset so Irish CGT arises.

As an aside, living outside of Ireland for a period of time does not in itself affect one's domicile position.
