Hi,
I am thinking of selling my house & have just learned that I may be liable for CGT. I bought in 2008 & lived there for 3.5 years but because I could not get work in Dublin moved to Cork for a few years. I am now planning on selling it but keeping it vacant for a few months for renovations. I have rented whilst not in the house. I read somewhere that if I move back in for a certain period of time, I may be exempt from CGT. Is this correct, & If not, can anyone advise on what exemptions I will get. Thanks....
