Hi,

If I have made a capital gain (say from selling shares) which is below the personal exemption limit of €1,270 then do I need to make a return to the Revenue?

Thanks.

You will need to declare the gain on Form CG1. You will also need to declare the income from this gain on Form 11 or Form 12 (I believe).

I don't believe you need to fill in a CGT Payslip A or Payslip B, but I am open to correction on this.
