Cavity below door is 2 blocks high with the radon barrier exiting the inner leaf between blocks, dropping down onto the raft and exiting under the bottom block of the outer leaf.
Door supplier wants me to place 25mm insulation against the face of the inner leaf with DPC to the outside of the insulation (both to the full depth of the cavity) and then fill the balance of the cavity. Then remove upper block of outer leaf.
Have seen various diagrams which are different to this:
1) 25mm insulation x 150mm deep to the top with DPC to the outside of this insulation, fill to balance of cavity,
2) 25mm insulation x 150mm deep to the top with DPC to the outside of this insulation, both to full depth of the cavity, fill to balance of cavity,
3) 25mm insulation to face of upper block with DPC to outside but then fed horizontally to outer block. Fill required above and below horizontal DPC.
Need advice/direction/diagram with regard to correct method.
