Just wondering has anyone stayed in this hotel and used spa facilities. Good deals with them for 2 nights b and b, one evening meal and spa day. seems good but would like opinions from people who stayed there.

Folks stayed there 1 month ago. Nice enough but fairly average, smell of smoke in the corridors! but it wasn'r expensive for 2 B&B and 1 dinner... Treatments book up fast. They did say there was a lovely restaurant in a renovated Church nearby in Bunclody...
 
We stayed there last November and thought it was lovely. Food was really nice and we had no probs getting treatments. Had a really nice time there.
The restaurant mentioned above is the Chantry - more info [broken link removed]. However we ate in the hotel both nights and couldn't fault it (bar food first night and then restaurant second night).
 
We were there last month. The hotel is located at the end of the main street close to local bars. A very nice hotel with very nice staff. Breakfast and evening meal were excellent. I thought the pool area a bit dowdy for a new hotel. Parking a bit tight in the carpark. There was no air conditioning in our room but the room was spotless. There was a delay at check in which seems to be common with the Carlton group of hotels just having returned from a stay in their Kinsale hotel. We had lunch one day in the Chandry restaurant located at the other end of town. Excellent lunch. Free newspaper daily in hotel. Internet is available in the reception area but seemed expensive to use. See reviews on
 
Stayed there last Sept., and was very impressed. They have suites/apartments over the way from the main hotel which is where we stayed, as we had our two children with us. Rooms were fine with plenty of space.

Ate in the main restaurant a couple of times: excellent food and service (as was breakfast). Had dinner in the bar one evening and was less impressed: nothing actually wrong with it, but the standard of the food (not as good as the main restaurant) didn't match the price.

Spa highly recommended too. Not sure what previous comment about dowdy pool area is all about: looked fine to me!

Overall: highly recommended.
 
Stayed in one of their suites about 2 years ago. Couldn't fault it. Staff were very nice. Food was great. Enjoy!
 
Lovely hotel. Nothing else in Bunclody. Restaurant was lovely. Definately book treatments in advance.
 
Stayed there in Aug 06. Excellent food in restaurant in hotel. Bar food OK. Leisure centre was acceptable. Rooms were clean but basic.
