I would be grateful for any advice...

My partner claims job seekers allowance for himself with me as a qualified adult and my 2 children as dependants. I claim half-rate carers allowance for my disabled son. My question is can I seperate my money from his i.e he claims job seekers allowance for himself only, while I claim full rate carers for my son?

Has anyone done this and how long would it take to go through?
