my husband earns 58000 & i earned 12000 in 2011. Just had my 4th child and would like to take career break after mat leave. We are jointly assessed 50/50 we have done this so as a way of saving as we get a tax return every yr. If i take a career break we would need every penny, so what should we do with credits????

personal credit and tax band can go to your husband
you cannot transfer your paye credit
a better way of saving would have been to split your credits and bands more efficiently and put what you normally got in tax back into a savings account--you'd have got some interest at least
