Career break and working elsewhere - public sector?

My husband might be seconded across to the other side of the country with his job for a couple of years. I work in the public service for a voluntary hospital in a job I don't want to quit. Can I take a career break and work elsewhere - it doesn't seem so? Is there any way to get around this?
We couldn't afford for me not to work at least part time.

Plenty have done it but under the career break terms it's not allowed.

You could apply directly to HSE HR departments in the area for a job for 2 years on a transfer basis.
Voluntarily hospitals are funded by HSE so that way you keep contributing to the pension scheme.
