Hi
I recently purchased a car that is needed for home use and my business (sole trader).
My accountant said that I cannot tax-deduct any % of the car repayments (PCP). I don't doubt they're right but cannot find anything online to support this.

I would have thought that if I am using the car for 30% business for example, that I could include 30% as an expense on tax returns?

Ask them what you can claim as a business expense. It would be a percentage of the running cost of the car, plus capital allowances (depreciation). Never based on percentage of the loan repayments.
But whether or not you can, or should, claim business expenses will be based on the specific circumstances of your case, where your accountant should advise, or point you to someone who can.
