Car Insurance quote with provisional named driver

Hi All,

Got renewal quote from Aviva for a 1999 Toyota Avensis. Myself along with named drivers, my wife (full no claims bonus) and daughter (provisional licence). Quote of 1100 euro. Looking around for alternative quotes but several companies don't give quotes for a car of that age. Anyone in a similar predicament? Thanks ....

That doesn't sound too bad to me ... three drivers with one being provisional ... grab it and run.

As you say, some companies won't even quote cars older than 10 years.

I paid €900 last month - fully comprehensive - for myself, husband and 19 year old son (all with full licences). 2011 1.2 Clio. Aviva did say to me that they are not taking on new motor insurance business for cars that are older than 2003. I think you will find it very difficult to get a quote from other companies.
