Car Insurance multipolicy discount

My car insurance is due for renewal soon and I was looking for quotes today.
One of the questions for a discount is do you have a home insurance policy with us. My husband has our home insurance policy with this company but its just under his name and he quoted the policy number for a discount on his car insurance. My question is can I also use our home insurance for a discount considering i live in the same house, or not?

If you fill it in and look at the "premium breakdown" it should show you if a multi-policy discount has been applied to the quote.

Both myself and my wife use our home insurance policy in this way when renewing the car insurance and as both of us are named drivers on each other policies, we also reference those policy numbers for quotations ( sometimes the home insurance is enough to activate the discount, but other times I have been asked if anyone else in the household has a policy with the insurance company )
