Can anyone recommend a cheap car hire company in UK? Avis seem very reasonable (€95 compared to €260 with Hertz via Ryanair.com) but if anyone has any recommendations?
You're going to end up with dozens of recommendations I'd say from everyone's personal experiences.
Mine is www.holidayautos.ie - for one reason mainly - the option to pay I think Eur2.50 a day extra for excess waiver - i.e if you have a Eur600 excess and you have a minor bash, Holiday autos refund the excess to you., small price to pay and I have ended up needing it in the past!
Good rates normally, and they will price match against other web rates so I get the best rate and the excess offer.
