Capital Loss on Waterford Wedgewood Shares

Hi

It only occured to me the other day that as a result of the liquidation of Waterford Wedgewood that the shares I held in that company were effectively sold at a loss as I recovered none of my investment in that company. Does anyone know if this is the case and if I need to do anything to claim that capital loss so that it will be available for future capital profits? I know this all happened years ago, so maybe I am too late in any event to do anything about this. All advice welcome.
