I have some tennants moving out of a rental property in Ireland and am considering selling it. If I do I would hope to make a reasonable capital gain. I have other property investment in Ireland whose rental income is not covering costs. Is there any way of deferring capital gains tax or even using it to offset ongoing losses on other rental property?
PS: I'm not talking about using stamp duty and other allowed expences to reduce the capital gain.
