Can't pay loan

Hi


I am currently out of work i was paying off my loan. Payed aff around 5000 this year while working around 25000 left.

I cant pay it right now as im out of work. There is now arrears.

It took ages to get social welfare. I got tax pack and payed the loan while i could. They talked about it being passed onto some credit group to collect.

I am currently in emergency accomadition i have a van could they take that? What are my options.

I will hopefully have a job soon. Had an interview on Friday. Waiting for second interview.

I do not have much experience in terms of loan arrears but just wanted to offer some encouragement. I think in difficult times you just have to focus on what you can control and you seem to be doing that by prioritising getting work. I would engage with the lenders and advise of your circumstances then after that just look after yourself.

I think you are doing very well keeping it together in difficulty times many people would not be able to cope at all. Taking things day by day and working towards your immediate goals of getting a job and somewhere to stay are what is important. The loans will still be there and can be dealt with in due course.
