Can't log into eircom account

Hi! I can't log into my eircom email account - is anyone else having the same problem. It says my login hasn't been found - but I'm using the same login for eight years. I don't have an eircom phone account anymore, is there a number I can ring up re my email?
 
Yes im having the same problem and likewise same account for years, thought i was losing my mind until i read your post., not sure how to remedy it but will let you know if i manage to.
 
Yep! Same boat since last night. Thought I had been kicked out because I was no longer a customer. Amazing how dependent we become on an EMail address. This problem has made me aware of how vulnerable I am since all my folders are within the eircom account. Has anyone done a back up of old EMail, I'm keen to have some way of getting at my files.
 
Heard on 12 oc news that they have acknowledged that the problem is widespread and are working on it.
