Cancel mortage TRS before getting lender permission to rent

I recently found a tenant for my property. I sent an email a couple of months ago to my lender saying that I was considering renting out because the house was sitting unoccupied but haven't heard a word back from them.

Now that the tenant is in situ, I must cancel my mortgage TRS with the Revenue.

My question is this: should I wait until I hear from lender before asking Revenue to cancel TRS?

Thanks.

I would contact Revenue straight away to cancel it, whether the lender decides to try to stop you renting your house out does not have any bearing on TRS which is only due if you are living in the house yourself.

You say the house was unoccupied for a couple of months, when you left it would have been the time to cancel TRS.

Yes, according to the T+Cs of my mortgage.
Thanks Mrs Vimes. I have sent off my form TRS4 to Revenue this afternoon !
