Can a solar panal heat radiators? If so, is it warm enought to heat a whole house?

Thanks for any input.

simple answer no. there are some newbuilds who are using an oversized solar system with a large thermal store(big tank) as part heating but only in air-tight super insulated home with MVHR (passive house standard) where the heating demand is less than half that of our current A3 BER standard

As lowCO2desing said, solar won't heat radiators as radiators need hot water supplied at 50-60 degrees to function properly.
They MIGHT be able to heat some underfloor heating (which runs at up to 20 degrees), if, as was noted above, the system is properly designed and you use a lot of panels, and have a small heat load to begin with.

The answer is yes but not to heat the house. It will only preheat the house on initial start up. The delta T is too low to have any impact and the demand is too high. You will need to look very closely at the initial outlay cost versus the cost benefit in savings from running costs. It this tallys, then you could consider, if not then look for alternative options.
On oil, I would certainly consider the buffer tank option. It eliminates the need for modulation and increases system efficiency 10 fold.
