Can I view the turnover of a limited company?

I am doing some research on viablity of a business and attempting to research similar businesses in other similar areas.
I can order accounts on the CRO site for 2.50 but they dont give turnover/sales figures as P&L isnt included, am I correct in saying this?

Small companies only have to file an Abridged set of accounts which only include a Balance Sheet & Notes, so it is not possible to see Sales turnover nor P & L information

You can sometimes work out an educated guess if you can see their stock levels and have an idea of average stock holding and margin.

Knowing staff costs v turnover and checking staff costs is another option.

Looking at tax liability is another option and checking if its one month vat or two months (plus prsi /paye)

Basically with a little digging and a little knowledge, you can get a ball park figure.

What kind of business is it? There may well be other ways of estimating sales, depending on the type of business.
