I was on illness benefit for 15 months until Sept last yr. We decided that I needed to go back to work for financial purposes and I got a 9 month contract with an old employer. However, the company has decided to close the dept that I'm working in, making myself and 2 others redundant (technically, terminating my contract 3 months early).
I was never ready to go back to work in the first place.
My question is, can I go straight back on certs after redundancy? If I get laid off on a Friday can I go to my doc on a Monday to get certified? Or do I have to go on JB, then go on certs?
