Hi all

Basically my quetion is can I put in a grevience about a member of an investigation team who is conducting an investigation in me. They seem to be ignoring facts supplied to them in forming conclusions and making conclusion about events they have never even asked me about.

When I asked that the minutes of my meeting with them (it lasted 2 hours and minutes only accounted for about 15mins) include a more detailed account of my information presented to them they, in a meeting subsequent meeting with me accused me of being arguementative and contrite.

They have refused to discuss minutes of witnesses saying they would only accept a written response and have even refuese to accept some written responses until I had changed the format to one they wanted (only telling me this after I had made the submission.

Basically feel one of the team is a realy bully and seems to be runing the show himself.
?????

I think you can, I would consider it as constituting as an appeal against the behaviour of the investigation team member, which I believe to be within your rights.

The essential elements of any procedure for dealing with grievance and disciplinary issues are that they be rational and fair, that the basis for disciplinary action is clear, that the range of penalties that can be imposed is well defined and that an internal appeal mechanism is available.

Record the next meeting yourself, you'll have to ask their permission I think. Have you engaged a solicitor who specialises in these type of situations?

In a subsequent meeting with me accused me of being arguementative and contrite.

Are you being argumentative and if so perhaps this is not the best tactic for you to take. I cant see how being contrite (sincere remorse for wrongdoing) would be viewed as anything but positive in a case like this, were you apologetic?
