I have alternate therapy treatment expenses from 2012. Can I claim for these under Med 1 Form. My private health insurer didn't cover them

If i can claim for them under Med 1 what heading is best to list them under

Thanks

Probably not, but you haven't explained what therapies you are talking about.

Here are two relevant excerpts.

"Which drugs and medicines can I claim for?

Only the cost of drugs and medicines supplied by a pharmacist, on prescription from a medical practitioner, qualify for relief. (However, see paragraph regarding coeliacs and diabetics)."

"What does 'Practitioner' mean?

Practitioner means any person who is:

  1. registered in the register established under section 43 of the Medical Practitioners Act 2007
  2. registered in the register established under section 26 of the Dentists Act 1985
  3. in relation to health care provided outside the State, entitled under the laws of the country in which the care is provided to practice medicine or dentistry there."
