Can I apply anglo losses to CGT in current year?

I made losses on Anglo Irish shares around 2006 which I have not put against any gains.
Can I use those losses against capital gains I made this year?
 
Thanks for your reply Rob. I did make capital gains in previous years but they were covered by the CGT allowance of 1000 Euros or whatever it is. Am I still OK to use those old losses?
 
No. If you have losses carried forward they must be used before the personal exemption each year.
