I have been searching the web over the past few weeks for ways to raise some extra cash but keep hitting a brick wall.

I used to do the mystery shopping but it seems to be very quiet at the moment so I miss the extra cash.

Can anyone suggest similar ways to raise a bit of extra cash?

I have a degree in business and post grad in IT.

The web is full of scams.

Thanks for all advice.

How about sort of a business centre.
Putting proposals and documents together.
Typing stuff up for students.
offering to update thier websites etc

Lots of offices have downsized their admin support and might need the odd dig out on a piece work basis.

Thanks Mommah. Can you suggest how I would go about setting up this type of service? I have created websites in the past for schools and clubs but I have never charged for it as it was always for friends.

Probably more lucrative to do some manual work, clearing gardens, cutting grass cleaning windows that kinda thing. Personally I found part IT type work to be very poorly paid, considering the time it takes.

Have you registered with Employment Agencies for Temp work? I know quite a few places that are taking on temps for short term, project based work. It's something that our company is considering. The requirement seems to be basic people skills and computer literacy. Worth a try.

AlbacoreA: I don't think I would be much good at the manual work I'm afraid. You would need the tools to do that too anyway.

EF09: Is there much demand for part time evening workers?. Most agencies look for temps for 9-5 jobs. I have a full time job but just want to generate some extra cash. I am feeling the pinch of the last two budget cuts.

Hi,

Since you have post graduate degree in IT it is better if you opt for computer part time jobs online.

Landing a part time job may take awhile. For online searches, see job websites. You can narrow down the search to location and type of part-time job. The newspaper is another good source for 'help wanted' ads. Don't give up hope scanning the classifieds daily. There is always bound to be something that will catch your interest. The available jobs are from various industries like hospitality, pharmaceutical and medical, construction, maintenance, insurance, research, retail, science, and accounting.
