I was made redundant from my company. Due to length of service the notice was 8 weeks.
We agreed in a meeting that I could leave after four as there was a particular training job they wanted me to do before I left. Now it would appear that the person who I was supposed to be training is delayed and won't arrive for another week at least...are they entitled to change the agreement and tell me I can't leave after four weeks I must stay the eight? I'm hoping the answer is no, I have the agreement as an email but nothing is signed... I am finding it mentally destroying having to go into work day after day when I really just can't wait to leave.
